Come to the Algarve, to Loulé, at the beginning of summer and enjoy the sounds and flavours from various countries around the world.
Festival MED takes place in the historic area of the city in June/July, during which period it creates a patchwork of cultures that have many points in common. Taking “Music with a spirit of adventure” as its signature, it is defined by a demanding programme presented in historical and urban settings of great beauty and authenticity, near a coastline whose landscape is protected.
Under the slogan “music and much more,” the MED has strong musical and cultural diversity. It offers a fusion of tradition and new artistic tendencies, particularly in the field of plastic arts, crafts, drama, street entertainment, cinema, poetry and literature.
To complete this show, the venue also features a range of restaurants where you can try the flavours of the traditional cuisine from each of the countries involved.
