Better known as a late summer festival, this year, Lisb-on will be one of the first of the hotter season of the year, taking place between the end of June and early July. With a urban concept and #JardimSonoro (#SoundGarden) as a motto, you can enter an (almost) secret garden right in one of “Lisbon’s lungs”, with Kail do Amaral Garden, in Monsanto, as the scenery of three days amongst nature, DJs and concerts.
This Lisbon festival brings the party to the light of the day and stamps it with its own identity and a very diverse line-up. With chill-out and techno as musical basis, there’s also space for disco, house, jazz, soul, funk or electronic pop. The production goes from international to Portuguese. The artists range between breakthrough acts and more renowned names and the line-up includes partnerships between those stepping on the Lisb-on stage.
Lisb-on guarantees the right soundtrack to its festival-goers, whether you prefer to practice your dance steps or to relax in the grass. Starting during the early afternoon and going all the way to the end of the night, the very best of electronic music will take Lisbon by storm.
Lisbon, built on seven hills, is a city with an unforgettable light and considered the most beautiful in Europe. A city where you can make a bit of everything from seeing historical monuments, visit museums, stroll along the river, drink a ginjinha in downtown, sit down to read a book on a park bench or take a dip in the best beaches of the country.
Its streets, sometimes labyrinthine and sometimes ordered, the typical cobblestone, the tiles facades, the pombalino buildings, the clothes hanged by the window, the baked sardines on bread. All this makes Lisbon undoubtedly a charming town with lots of history around the corner.
