Lisbon’s latest music festival took Parque da Bela Vista by storm in 2022 with an impressive first line-up with names like Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Chemical Brothers, Arctic Monkeys and Kraftwerk. Back in 2023, MEO Kalorama stays on its central location and continues with a distinguished line-up. Only on its second year, but already making a name as one of the biggest music events in Portugal and Europe.
More than a music festival, Kalorama has made serious commitments towards sustainability and to the reduction of the environmental impact. The goal is to generate cultural, social and economic benefits to the local community. In 2023, the targets are more ambitious. They involve not only the organisation, but also the musicians, the festival-goers and the local population. Urban art is also part of the DNA of this festival. The first edition had a partnership with the cultural platform Underdogs. The partnership counted with three initiatives, including a large scale intervention in the main stage of the festival.
One of the last summer festivals in Portugal, Kalorama is a great excuse the enjoy the final outdoor concerts surrounded by Lisbon’s good vibes.
To be announced...
Lisbon, built on seven hills, is a city with an unforgettable light and considered the most beautiful in Europe. A city where you can make a bit of everything from seeing historical monuments, visit museums, stroll along the river, drink a ginjinha in downtown, sit down to read a book on a park bench or take a dip in the best beaches of the country.
Its streets, sometimes labyrinthine and sometimes ordered, the typical cobblestone, the tiles facades, the pombalino buildings, the clothes hanged by the window, the baked sardines on bread. All this makes Lisbon undoubtedly a charming town with lots of history around the corner.
