Andanças

Acting as a different festival proposal, Andanças offers festival-goers the opportunity to be active participants in the festival rather than just spectators. A dance-focused festival that literally leaves no one standing still, as the name suggests.

Taking place since the 90s, the festival has already passed through Évora, São Pedro do Sul, Castelo de Vide, and is currently taking place in the Alentejo village of Campinho, in the municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz. At Andanças you can learn traditional dances from all over the world in an atmosphere of sharing and interaction between those who teach and those who learn. It is more than classes or workshops, it is about turning these learning moments into moments of popular dances, keeping alive the traditions of various countries and cultures.

With this community spirit as a motto, the festival is built as an independent movement through the voluntary contribution of the participants and the involvement of the local populations and partners.

Join the dance in Campinho and add some moves to your summer.
