One of the most important summer festivals in Portugal happens in August at the Casa Branca estate on the Vicentina coast.
The most musical estate of the coast of Alentejo received one of the biggest music festivals in Portugal for the first time in 1997.
Since then it has concentrated a wide range of renowned artists of various musical styles.
In a paradise, away from the routine of the city, you can dance along the festival’s five days to great beats of the national and international music scene.
20 years later the MEO Sudoeste Festival is distinguished by its musical diversity and is positioned as an event where the experience reaches peak in a holiday week with Music as it’s epicenter.
Zambujeira do Mar is situated on the Alentejo coast, in the Odemira county and is part of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina.
Known for its beautiful beaches, Zambujeira do Mar attracts the visit of thousands of people in the height of summer. The fine and white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters protected by a jagged coastline by the cliffs, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Sea square and the Amores fountain, make Zambujeira do Mar one of the main poles of attraction of the Alentejo coast and a little paradise, used by few.
Since the festival MEO Sudoeste began, almost twenty years ago, the village of Zambujeira do Mar became the most mediatic of Odemira, receiving every year thousands of people from across the country and the world.
